Stairway to Heaven

Who said the pictures had to be of Naomi?

A few months ago, I wouldn't have dreamt of doing this. I would have ridden to the top of those stairs, dismounted, and carried the bike down the stairs. This is clearly an inversion of the correct bike to rider relationship, but there you go; that's how it would have been. Something has clicked though. When I ride my bike, I feel more relaxed and more confident. I try more and different things and, most of the time, I succeed.

Funnily enough, this is how I'm feeling about a few things in my life just now. I don't know if it was because of British Gas, where I used to work. Actually, that's a lie and I'm sorry. British Gas did a very thorough job of completely grinding me down and wearing me out. By the time I left, just before Christmas, I wasn't enjoying anything very much. I spent my evenings stressed about the day I'd had, and my weekends stressed about the coming week.

Since leaving that nightmare, I have felt happier about just about everything. I am more relaxed, more confident, and more pro-active about things. In short I have re-discovered the joy of living, and the Joy of Christian living. Praise God.

I'm sorry, this feels like a slightly self centred post compared to usual. I suppose you could be grateful that I'm not ranting about Guantanamo suicides. Um, that is, Guantamo publicity stunts or apologies for "hurt" caused to innocent British citizens, by the British police force.

Oh, ok then, have another picture of Naomi. It's not as thought you wanted to hear about me anyway - I know when I'm not wanted.

Isn't she lovely?
